Guides

Petch:

Has been climbing since 1989,started guiding in 1996, and trained by the AMGA in 2003. He also has climbed on routes rated up to 5.13 and has been featured in Climbing Magazine and Rock Climbing Lake Tahoe Guide Book. As a contributing member of the community, Petch has volunteered his time with various organizations such as American Safe Climbing Association, The Access Fund, and the US Forest Service to reduce impact and increase safety in the Lover's Leap Area. He has established over 50 first ascents, 30 of with are at Lover's Leap in traditional style.

Jay:

Has been climbing since 1986, started guiding in 1994, and trained by the AMGA in1996. He has established routes on both rock and ice. He has contributed to many guide books as well as being featured in Alpinist Magazine, American Alpine Journal, and Climbing Magazine. He is a local source of information for route description, gear use and knowledge.

Brent:

Has over 10 years of rock climbing experience and eight years of adaptive education training. Brent is in charge of LLG's Adaptive ClimbingProgram for physically disabled people who would like to learn to climb. Not only has he founded programs for adaptive snowboarding at two local ski resorts, he hasbeen an inspiration to other physically disabled people with his successful completion at the USASA National Snowboard races.

Heidi:

The head of our women’s clinic, Heidi is certified AMGA Top-rope instuctor. Climbing since 1993, started guiding in 2003, and received her AMGA cert. in 2004.
